🎙️ Multimedia Journalist | Communications Professional | Radio Personality

I’m Makayla N. Davis, a passionate storyteller with a strong foundation in broadcast journalism, public affairs, and digital media. I earned my B.S. in Communications from the illustrious Tennessee State University, where I served as a reporter for TSU News 98, contributed to The Meter newspaper, led as Junior Class President, and proudly became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. I also partnered with Impressions of Beauty as a brand ambassador, further developing my marketing and outreach skills.

My experience includes communications internships with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, where I supported national policy communication efforts. Professionally, I’ve worked as a reporter for WNBJ 39 News in Jackson, TN, covering local news with integrity and heart.

Currently, I’m a graduate student at the University of Memphis and a radio personality/street team member for HOT 107.1, where I stay connected to the culture and community through dynamic on-air content and events.

I’m driven by a mission to inform, engage, and empower audiences through multimedia storytelling.
